How To Creatively Wrap a Gift
Wrapping gifts is one of my favorite things to do. Kraft or black paper with a few little doodles and a little string and you are good to go. Thank you Julie Andrews. Simple and easy, especially for those who don’t appreciate gift wrapping, but if that is still a little too much effort gift bags go a long way.
I like to take my time and enjoy the process of wrapping. Handmade flowers, gift boxes or pillow boxes, and lots of scrap paper. Scrap paper can be used for so many things from gift tags to making a patchwork sheet of wrapping paper.
Below are just a few ideas you can incorporate into your next wrapping extravaganza.
Kraft and black wrapping paper can be used anytime for any occasion and should always be on hand. A little brown twine or any ribbon you may have on hand is perfect. White gel pens or paint pens are great for adding your favorite doodle.
Scrap paper, old greeting cards, and photos also make excellent additions to packages. I will wrap the gift several times over and then tie some knots or weavings into the twine bits. You can also incorporate pencils, pens, sticks, and feathers into the twine.
Of course, you can always purchase gift wrap bundles from artists such as myself. Everything is in the bundle including a how-to placard, if you want a little something extra.
Wrapping and giving uniquely wrapped packages is a wonderful way to add a little something extra to the gift in the wrappings.
