Mixed Media Art Print - "Sunday Morning"
Mixed media has always been my favorite way to create art. In this new digital age, I can push the boundaries even more. Most of my digital workflows between both worlds. I begin each piece with an original acrylic painting, scan the work, and then use it as a substrate for a digital piece.
Being in the digital realm lends itself to much more exploration and a lot less waste. I usually use the digital piece as a way to change things on a canvas without creating a big fat mess. I have become a lot less timid in my experiments and have also been known to print off the digital piece and incorporate that work back into the canvas. For me, the flow is a never-ending wave of creativity.
This little number is named “Sunday Morning” a reminder the slow it down. The scribbles on the bottom of the print are a note to self-reads - slow it down and be in the moment. I usually write my notes backward as a nod to my Dad.
